Baljit Sidhu

Baljit Sidhu is a multifaceted entrepreneur and visionary leader who is a contributor to many fields in healthcare. As the owner and operator Oakville North Endoscopy, she has demonstrated a commitment to providing advanced medical services with a focus on patient well-being, prevention, and precision.

In addition to her role in at the clinic, Baljit serves as the CEO of a nutraceutical company, where she leverages her expertise to drive innovation and nutritional supplements. Her dedication to holistic health led her to establish NutriThrive Health Services, a company that emphasizes a comprehensive approach to well-being, combining medical science, nutrition, and lifestyle.

Baljit is also a practitioner of mindfulness. As a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Facilitator, she shares her knowledge and passion for mindfulness to help individuals manage stress and cultivate mental resilience. With a keen interest in nutrition, Baljit has trained as a functional nutritionist, recognizing the vital role that diet plays in overall health. Her commitment to healthy living extends to her role as a tea sommelier, exploring the diverse world of teas and their potential benefits by a harmonious blend of healthcare, business acumen, mindfulness, nutrition, and sustainable living. Her diverse skill set and unwavering commitment to well-rounded health make her a trailblazer in the pursuit of holistic well-being.

Marieta Mendoza

As a co-chair of Women, Health, Innovation, Marieta is all about community. Craving inspiration, connection, a desire to challenge herself out of the comfort zone while meeting diverse, interesting and influential women is what drew Marieta to joining the conference organizing team. 

Marieta’s work over the last 25 years places her at the forefront of transformational people and operational best practices. She has proven leadership experience in scaling up global, high-growth businesses across a variety of disruptive sectors from tech, med-tech, telecommunications, retail, energy, education, and digital media.

As an entrepreneur and founder, she has built metaHR, a People Consulting & Advisory practice, to work with progressive CEOs and Founders who understand that “Business decisions are People decisions and People decisions are business decisions.” Her work has been recognized through multiple Top 2 and Top 3 distinctions as leading Best Workplaces in Canada with Great Places to Work. She is a mentor for Women in Leadership; an active Board Director with the Geneva Centre for Autism; and most importantly, the mother of an 18 year old daughter and 11 year old son.

Shann McGrail

A former CEO, founder, board member, advisor, and executive in the technology and innovation space, Shann is passionate about connecting the right people together to affect positive change.  She is an advocate for and active in building high impact initiatives supporting women entrepreneurs and women aspiring to senior leadership positions. The focus on empowering women, bringing innovation to light, and creating a positive and open environment for ideas to generate is what drew Shann to collaborating with her co-chairs on the conference in 2024. 

Shann’s work experience includes being the CEO at Haltech Regional Innovation Centre; Senior Leadership roles at Microsoft Canada in Sales, Enterprise Services and Education and as a Co-Founder and Partner of Devreve. She has served as an executive advisor at Innovation Factory and Women and Communications and Technology. She currently is the Co-Vice Chair at the Accelerator Centre, Chair of the Board for the Oakville Improv Theatre Group and a member of the Governance Committee of the May Court Club of Oakville.
